    2. Can someone confirm for me, in 18th century Scottish law would a wife be able to be executor for her husband or would they have to follow a 'blood' line?? Those of you who saw my note on Robert Dundas Mcqueen may recall that his sister (Mary) was executor eventhough his wife (Lilias) was still living. As she married soon after his death I interpreted it that their marriage had already failed. It now strikes me that I could be wrong. Any views on that?? sincerely Dawn
