No information on Dugal's mother. This line of McQueen's are related to the McQueen's of Corrybrough, but not in line for clan chief. Dugal was married in Scotland to Elizabeth MacKintosh, they had 2 children a son and a daughter Anne. Anne is known as she is mentioned as inheriting from an Uncle. Dugal had a brother Alexander and maybe a brother Hector. There is no eveidence that the Sarah McQueen so often linked to Dugal was actually his daughter. She was born before he married Grace Brown and too late to have been with him when he came to the colonies. This does not preclude relationship. She could have been a neice. This information is provided from John McQueen in Germany. He has been to Scotland on several trips to research our Dugal line and has stood on Dugal's land there.
Hi My maiden name was McQueen, born Dublin, Ireland. My line goes back to my gggrandfather Owen Queen born 1780 Ireland. He migrated to Wigtown Scotland possibly with his son Owen (2) born 1815 Owen b. 1815 Ireland or Kirkinner, Wigtown. Owen (2) was ag.lab. in Portwilliam with wife Margaret and five children 1851 Mochrum census. 1861 I found them all in Liverpool, Owen, Margaret, children James, Peter John Margaret and Elizabeth. My direct line from James born 1848 Mochrum, WIG married Ellen Doyle Liverpool 1870, 3 sons Thos.Owen born 1876, Albert born 1871 and Frederick W born 1880 Liverpool. My Dad John McQueen born Dublin 1901 - 1939 I am his daughter Patricia McQueen b. Dublin now living in USA. I am seeking to find our where Owen was born in Scotland/Ireland? I would like to get in touch with the John McQueen in Germany if possible?
