Hi Pat no. My Jim (john James) married a certain Bronwen Jones (who was welsh!). His father, John, married Laura Rubotham in Birmingham c. 1884. evenso, we had best keep tabs on them all as they may be related! sincerely Dawn
Thanks Dawn, I feel you a nice young lady. I am a retired Irish-born woman just checking my Scots-English background for my Dad's family. John McQueen born Dublin, Ireland 1901. On my Mom's side I am all Irish but I like to check the McQueen side. Dad always said his family were Scots just down Scotland a couple of generations and I managed to find my great grandfather Thos.Owen McQueen born Liverpool 1876 and his 2 bros Albert and Frederick W. My Dad spent many years living in Liverpool during the troubles in Ireland 1916-1921. I am living far away in San Francisco, Californ with my 3 grown sons and retired hubby so I have time to research on the computer mainly with help of one nephew I have in London, who checks things out for me, but I do most of the searching it seems. I would quit if I could find some English cousins there and maybe see them on my next visit next year. If you find any connections could you give me an email at pattymcq@comcast.net The best site to search is www.familysearch.com that is the LDS site which has records from all over the world, its amazing how many McQueens there are in USA but I just want to find the recent ones in England. I want to visit there next year and maybe see some of the living McQueens, so if yu find any connections please give me a phone call at 1-415 665-2349 (collect if you like) or email me at pattymcq@comcast.net. Best regards, In particular if you find an Owen in the family tree hiding somewhere I would be excited to find the details. Regards, possible cousin or not, call me if you find anything on him.
