I have been studying McQueens for years also and they are related to McDonalds of the Isles. In fact closely related to them. Mine are related to Revan dhu McQueen and a daughter Moira(not sure) married a chief of the Mackintosh clan and they became part of clan Chattan and fought on the side of Prince Charles for the throne but lost at Culloden war. Many of the rebels were driven out to American Canada Oz and NZ so they wouldnt challenge the royal family again, plus many other reasons. My clan I can trace only back to Owen McQueen born Wigtown, SCT 1815 my gggrandfather in the 1841, 1851 and 1861 census at Liverpool. Most seemed to remain in Liverpool and I have not got in touch with any yet, except to say the family was there in 1861. Good luck. Pat
