My family descended from Owen McQueen, born 1815 Kirkinner or Ireland sometimes called Owen Quinn went with his family to Liverpool ca.1855 recorded in census of 1861 in Toxteth Hall South Liverpool with wife Margaret 44, Elizabeth 22, James 14, Peter 10, and William 5. I have traced James (my line and his 3 sons Albert b. 1871 Frederick W. b. 1874 and Thos.Owen b. 1876. Thos.Owen my grandfather went to Dublin married and had my Dad John and me later. I now reside in San Francisco where I have 3 sons of my own, husband Michel. We are both retired now. I have traced my line but dont know anything about the other members in Liverpool. James was electrician as was his Dad Thos. Owen electrician on ships during WWI. Where could I find his records? Albert and Frederick are unknown to me. I would like to find some Liverpool relatives and Peter or John I saw a Peter McQueen 33, in a foreign port or ship Dwarf on UK census 1881. If my great uncle born 1840/1 could this be him I wonder? If he was entered as age 10 in 1861 he could be 33 in 1881 allowing for age differences. His age was scratched out a couple of time like 8 or 10 in 1861 census. Any information where this Peter went would be greatly appreciated. Email me at pattymcq@comcast if you have any information. Thanks a lot. Patricia
