This is due to the fact that Gealig was used in Ireland and Scotland in early 1800s and earlier Cuinn in Gaelig, often became Queen added Mc sons of and even Cuinn in Ireland. That's why I am having trouble locating my gggrandfather Owen McQueen, called Owen Queen in Scots censuses and Quinn on marriage cert. It is hard to know where born because the birth certs. did not start until 1850 or 1860s in Ireland. It's best if you have a baptism cert. from a church, even then the spelling may be incorrect in translation from the Irish/Scots into English. Sorry for your trouble, it's not an easy name to identify. Patricia, USA
