Spotsylvania County Will Book A pg 54 Administration Bonds: 500 lbs. Katherine Cooper, admx. of John Cooper, decd., with John Cammell and Edward Southall, sec. August 6, 1728. Spotsylvania County Order Books pg 256 Court held 5th September 1733: In the action of debt between Alexander Mackqueen & Catherine his wife, admrx. & c. of John Cooper deced. and William Johnson Gentl, late Sheriff of Spotsylvania County, Defendt, a special imparlance is granted to the defendt. Spotsylvania County Order Books pg 302 Court held 3rd April 1734: In the action of debt between Alexander McQueen & Catherine his wife, admrx of all and singular the goods, chattells, rights and credits of John Cooper, decd. Plts and William Johnston, Gent. late Sheriff of Spotsylvania County, defendt, for two hundred and nine pounds of tobacco and damage five hundred pounds of tobacco the demurrer being joyned last court and referred to this for argument; who after having heard all on each side are of oppinion that the said demurrer is good. Therefore ordered that the said suit be dismissed with costs and an attorneys fee. It is therefore ordered that the plantiff pay ye said defendant the same alias exo What do you make of these abstacts? I plan on ordering the microfilm to get copies of the original documents to see if there is any other information that may be helpful. I would appreciated your feedback.
