Nathanial Tomlinso and his sisters husband,Jousha Baker,owned the cabin where in early 1774,John SAPPINGTON and -GREATHOUSE killed the 1st 2 of the Mingo Logan's family,touching off Lord[Va Gov] Dunmore's War,and the Nov 1774 seizing of sw Pa for Va on Dunmore's Va militia army's return. Sappington and Tomlinson had fled back to Berkley Co,VA [WV] after the massacre,and enlisted in Dunmore's army there Dunmore,Croghan,and Fort Pitt's John Campbell's partner,Dr John Connolly,were Loyalists,and their lands were confiscated as far west at Louisville,if not Kaskaskia,Ill.
