Hi Henry, I may have already replied to you, not sure. But my McQueen line probably originated in Scotland, went to Ireland and I found my gggrandfather Owen McQueen living in Mochrum in 1837 married to Margaret Copeland. The names were misspelled in the OPR to Quinn and Cobley but later in 1841 Mochrum census named Queen and 1851 census McQueen, Owen married to Margaret Copeland with children baptised in Church of Scotland in Mochrum (5) Some of the family moved to Liverpool my line James married there Liverpool 1870 m. Ellen with 3 sons Thos.Owen, Albert, and Frederick W. I am related directly to Thos Owen by my father John McQueen. I don't know where Albert and Frederick went and their families, would like to check out in Liverpool and London where I found Elizabeth, U, worked as a dressmaker. That is the only one from my line in 1881 British census. Sorry if I am repeating myself. I think some must be in London or Liverpool still or some may have emigrated. Let me know if you know any of these names.
