The entry is difficult to find because the ancestry.com index has Jerrance McGREEN! But the entry is definitely his. The 1930 census indicates that Steve's father's was born in Tennessee. Is his father's first name known and has anyone traced his ancestry? I would be sympathetic if the answer to both questions was "No!" However, I would be interested in attempting to compile a patrilineal ancestry. My interest in Steve McQueen's ancestry stems from the fact that he is (on his mother's side) an 8th cousin of my wife. Their MRCA (most recent common ancestor) is John (4) GRAVES (1670-1737), a great grandson of Capt. Thomas Graves of Jamestown, VA. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
