    1. Re: [McMurry] Fw: [WIG] MURRAY/MCMURRAY 1830
    2. Sorry for waiting so long to reply. Our families may very likely tie together. Unfortunately, I do not go back that far. The only tidbit that I have is that of a Samuel McMurry born in @1786 in Sullivan County TN. A death record Nov 6 1858 shows his parents to be Samuel and Elizabeth McMurry. My Samuel was married to Jane Ramey @1808 and they had a son named John b. 1809 and he had a son named John b. 1843 too both on my direct line. Common Family name! Not many people seem to be researching these folks. They have pleny of decendents though. Samuel moved to Washington Co VA which later became Scott Co VA in the southwest corner. They remained there through the 1800's but Johns daughter, Icy, took off to Oregon in the early 1900's. If any one can link my Samuels further back, please contact me. Thanks and good luck!
