The Wilkerson's of Rutherford County, NC. In 1812, Sarah Wilkerson, 12 yrs old, orphan daughter of Mary/Polly Wilkerson. Was bound to Margaret McMurry. This is in the Pleas and Quarter sessions. I could not find Sarah's family and I could not find mention of her, until finding this in the court records. Someone looked in the Bastardy bonds and found William McMurry in Jan or April of 1800, being charged with bastardy. It did not mention the woman involved. I am thinking this William is William and Margaret McMurry's son. I am wondering if Sarah was the daughter of William and she was bound to her grandmother , Margaret. In William McMurry's will dated 19th day of August , 1811. It mentions a Sarah. I wonder if this is MY Sarah, and William listed her as one of his children???
