He married (1) JULIETTE SHACKLETT March 24, 1879. She was born March 13, 1862, and died January 09, 1880. He married (2) LIZZIE KILE January 04, 1884, daughter of ELIAS KILE and MARY BOYER. She was born February 07, 1865 in West Point, Iowa, and died February 25, 1945 in at her old homestead southwest of Oakwood (Oklahoma).. At the age of 18 she moved with her parents from Iowa to Burrton KS. She was united in marriage to George McMurray Jan. 4, 1884. To this union were born 7 children, five girls and two boys. One daughter, Dollie and one son Jerry Warren preceded her in death. In 1898 the family moved to Oklahoma homesteading near Oakwood. Her husband passed away May 4, 1900 leaving her to manage the farm and provide for her family. In 1923 she moved to Thomas Oklahoma, In 1932 she moved back to Oakwood where she resided until her death."
