To date I have the following generations and hope to expand this with your assistance: Joseph Alexander McMurry (b: 1812 in TN)/ Elizabeth Willis Oldham (b:1819 TN, d:1858 TX) George Washington McMurry (b: 1854 TX)/ Jane F. Tate James Isaac Allen McMurry (b: 3 Feb 1886 OK, d: 9 Apr 1951)/ Alma Choral Turk (b:1892 Roscoe, TX, d:abt 1954 Alice, TX) Allen Turk McMurry (b: 29 Jun 1917, d: 24 Feb 1977)/ Mary Louise Smith (b: 19 Jan 1919, d: 5 Mar 1976) Geraldine Ann McMurry I'm early in my McMurry research, but I am concentrating on Joseph Alexander McMurry: I am currently trying to locate the parents of Joseph Alexander McMurry in TN. He was very closely associated with an Oldham family and traveled from TN to TX with his wife, her brother John, and her father, Moses Oldham. In searching for McMurrys in close proximity to Oldhams I have located a William McMurry in Rutherford Co., TN in the 1830 Census who is the correct age and had children the correct age, but I haven't made a definite match.
