I am interested in the will for the Samuel McMurry recorded 1803. I am looking for the parents of Thomas who eventually settled in Blount Co. Alabama. He was born about 1785 and named his first son Samuel. Do you have any additional information on this family? Could you possibly email me a copy of the will? Thanks for any help. We have been looking for his parents for many years with no success. The census records show he was born in TN but it was not a state at that time so records may be in NC. Dear kwood, You say you have a will of James Mcmurry, or whatever name they may have migrated to, and he had a daughter, Mary. Do you have any info on who she married? I'm trying to find a Mary Mcmurry that married Josiah Means, and had a daughter named Elizabeth. She would be my GG grandmother. ( I think I have enough "greats" in there).
