The Samuel McMurry who died abt. 1803 (will proved) in Rutherford Co NC wife was named Margaret. He did have a son named Samuel ( is this yours) Maybe your Samuel and my James are bro's. Also a Samuel McMurry, Jr and wife Elizabeth filed for divorce in 1808 but it was denied. Eliz. moved to Tn. dont know if Samuel did or not. NC Also a Samuel McMurry was killed by Indians. (from memory cant find the paper where i got that) before 1800. Any of these yours.
