I don't think my Mclaughlin's are yours but I have a Mary Elizabeth (1844-1929) with sisters Nancy, Sarah and Margaret and brothers William Lewis and James Lorimore. I'm trying to track her father, Kinney B. McLaughlin. Have you heard of him?> From: gtr96@comcast.net> To: MCLOUGHLIN-l@rootsweb.com> Subject: Mcloughlin photos web site> Date: Thu, 31 Jul 2008 09:02:25 -0400> > I am late contacting you, but am curious which Mcloughlin's you are related to. Hi Denise, My g-grandfather was a Francis McLaughlin, died in NYC in 1884 at the age of 40, husband of Delia (Elizabeth) Clark. They had a daughter who died young and my grandfather John Joseph McLoughlin. The change of spelling of the last name occurred somehow when my grandfather was born. As to where we came from, Francis was born in Ireland to a Patrick and Mary, and family lore says they were from Derry. Beyond that, I know nothing else, but that will be my next challenge when I've got the time to begin investigating again. I wish I had more for you. Best of luck in your search. Ps.... I looked through a number of old NYC directories a few years ago, and copied all the McLoughlin and McLaughlin pages I came across. If you have a name and some years, or even an address, send them to me and I'll look through my copies to see if anything jumps out. All the best, Tom McLoughlin Monroe, NY -----Original Message----- From: mcloughlin-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:mcloughlin-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Denise Jones Sent: Thursday, July 31, 2008 9:02 AM To: MCLOUGHLIN-l@rootsweb.com Subject: Mcloughlin photos web site I am late contacting you, but am curious which Mcloughlin's you are related to. Thanks Tom, but I really doubt any of my McLaughlin's would show up in a NY directory--my family are from kansas--although I guess they may have started in NY. Kinney B. McLaughlin was born 11 apr 1814 in Cumberland, Ohio, died 27 Nov. 1901 in Corning Kansas. I can't find who his parents were, so that's where I'm stuck. Also he married Jane McLaughin--were they cousins? Geneology is an interesting (and time consuming!) mystery, isn't it? > Date: Thu, 31 Jul 2008 10:01:51 -0400> From: tommcl54@optonline.net> Subject: RE: Mcloughlin photos web site> To: mcloughlin@rootsweb.com> > Hi Denise,> > My g-grandfather was a Francis McLaughlin, died in NYC in 1884 at the age of> 40, husband of Delia (Elizabeth) Clark.
