There, many years ago, I obtained a copy of a record of Charles's marriage to my aunt which states he was then a Fireman on the G. D. P. Railway. My aunt, arrived back in England on 18 Sep 1948 aboard the SS Maloja. My late sister, who was born in India, visited her here in England or so I am led to believe.
