I have info that he was married to Margaret Fallon (1853) and resided in Innishmagrath parish. I am his great granddaughter and am seeking info on his parents and place of birth. Most of his children emigrated to NYC, though I think the oldest, Michael (1877) stayed behind. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Since there has been recent discussion about William McLoughlins/McLaughlins, want to see if anyone sees any connections to any of my three William McLoughlins: WILLIAM MCLOUGHLIN (1780-1856) (Presumed to have been born in Ireland, City of Derry or Donegal area, but not certain) WILLIAM MCLOUGHLIN (1812-1861) married Margaret Jane Lamont (1821-1846) (he was possibly born in Philadelphia, or Ireland?) WILLIAM MCLOUGHLIN (1838-?) possibly born in Ireland, City of Derry or Donegal area, but not certain) More details about these individuals are below. I am reposting the message below from Shelley Cardiel that was sent two months ago regarding the "rescued" photo of Rosetta "Etta" Theresa MCLAUGHLIN. I thought that this might be the Rosetta McLoughlin that is in my line. However there are some differences that raise questions. I am reposting to see if someone else might recognize the individual described below. FYI- Back about 8 years ago I purchased a "rescued" photo from Ms. Cardiel and was pleased with the result. MCLAUGHLIN Family Photograph (Shelley Cardiel) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Message: 1 Date: Wed, 14 Apr 2010 06:11:13 -0700 From: "Shelley Cardiel" <cardiels@comcast.net> Subject: [MCLAUGHLIN] MCLAUGHLIN Family Photograph To: <MCLAUGHLIN@rootsweb.com> Message-ID: <27A46708AE2B4822B4EA9FA7A7DE9F67@CardielPC> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" I've "rescued" an old photograph of Rosetta "Etta" Theresa MCLAUGHLIN which was taken at the Sarony Studio in New York City, New York. The photograph is dated "Christmas 1893" with Rosetta appearing to be about 12 years old at the time the photograph was taken. Based on limited research I was able to locate her in census records as follows: 1910 census of Manhattan, NY: Rosetta T. MCLAUGHLIN, age 27, born NY, parents born NY, a Public School Teacher + 1 Servant/Housekeeper 1920 census of Manhattan, NY: Rose T. MCLAUGHLIN, age 34, born NY, parents born NY, a Public School Teacher + 1 Servant I am hoping to locate someone from this MCLAUGHLIN Family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me.
