GARDNER McINTOSH born c.1769 I am looking for information on Gardner McIntosh born possibly sometime in 1769, the place of birth is Newbattle, Midlothian (Great Britain). He was one of four brothers, of which today nobody in my family knows their names. He married Margaret Walkingshaw possibly around 1786, they had 5 children: Gideon McIntosh born 22 Apr 1787 Janet McIntosh born 19 Apr 1789 Martha McIntosh born 04 Nov 1792 (All born in Newbattle, Midlothian) Joseph McIntosh born 01 Aug 1797 Sarah McIntosh born 22 Feb 1801 I have recently found out by chance that he served in the Gordon Highlanders (Muster Roll of 1794). This gives the year of birth as 1769, place of birth as Newbattle and at the time he joined up he was 25. I have not from any of the usual sources been able to find actual dates for birth, marriage and death and the same for Margaret Walkingshaw. If anybody has found this or could suggest any possible source I would be interested to hear from you and if you are descended from any of their children. Many thanks John McIntosh
