Jennie -----Original Message----- From: mcintosh-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:mcintosh-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of BILL DORGAN Sent: Friday, March 21, 2008 11:40 AM To: MCINTOSH Rootsweb Subject: [MCINTOSH] MCINTOSHES (MACKINTOSHES) of Nova Scotia Listers: My McIntoshes came from Scotland to Nova Scotia in the late 1700s, although I do not know exactly when. My direct ancestor is JOHN MCINTOSH (1813-26 JUN 1888). JOHN MCINTOSH was born and died in Springville (Irish Mountain). He married MARY MACKENZIE (15 SEP 1814-19 MAR 1907). MARY MACKENZIE was born in Centredale (Grant's Lake) and died in Springville. They were married on 9 FEB 1835 by the Rev. John McRae of West Branch, East River, Minister of the Kirk Church from 1827-1844. They lived on Irish Mountain all their lives. QUESTION: I know the parents of MARY MACKENZIE: William MacKenzie and Flora MacMillan. I also know all her siblings. I do not know the parents and siblings of JOHN MACINTOSH. Does anyone have information about this family? Does anyone know who are the parents and siblings of JOHN MCINTOSH? Thanks for any information. I have created a family website which contains all the information I have about the McIntoshes: www.mackenziefamilytree.com Use the search engine on the opening page to find them.
