A JAMES MC INTOSH was a witness for the marriage of my grandparents, NELLIE KITCHEN and TIMOTHY CORBETT on July 10, 1907 in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co, MN. Timothy Corbett was from Nova Scotia. I have been unable to find the parents or birthplace of Nellie (born Oct. 1, 1887 somewhere in Canada). I have been trying to find this James McIntosh - oddly enough I did find one who was on an Indian Reservation and married to a Nellie Kitchen??? We think grandma may have been an Indian; the census says French Canadian. Do you have a James McIntosh in your line? Hi Susan, We have a continuous line of "James" which is not unusual for a Scottish line of McIntosh's, notice the spelling of the surname.. Our bunch came from Kirkmichael, Perthshire in Scotland way back in the 1700's and beyond. Our "James" came to New Zealand in the mid 1800's leaving behind 7 brothers and sisters in the Perthshire area, who have disappeared off the "Face of the Earth". We are very keen to find these other Family members. Can you identify any one of your McIntosh's who came from Perthshire in Scotland? Good luck, Ross McIntosh In sunny New Zealand.
