I descend from the McIntosh clan that was in Caswell County, NC and moved to Robertson County, Tennessee and Logan county, KY and on to Union County, Illinois. In the 1810 Illinois census was : WILLIAM, JOHN, THOMAS, BENJAMIN and WILLIAM. My 3rd great grandfather GEORGE WASHINGTON McINTOSH also as known as WASHINGTON McINTOSH or G.W. McINTOSH was born 3 July 1813 in Illinois and died in 1875 in Pulaski County, illinois. He descends from those in the following locations listed above, He married Elizabrth Hoffner in 1838 in Union county, Il. He is not the son of Nimrod McIntosh but my McIntosh line was always in correspondence with him as well as the other McIntosh brothers. Note: forwarded message attached.
