I will assume from your email (1) that you do not know if Jesse McIntosh and John Madison McIntosh were brothers, since you did not comment on that relationship and (2) that you have absolute proof (although not disclosed in your email) that Jesse's father was a Frank McIntosh. Most of the evidence I have also points in this direction, but I have not been able to verify it by any original sources. My condolences to you on the passing of your Aunt = Nancy Spicer who turned 110 years of age on 15 Jan 2005. She was a remarkable woman. Was she still living in Iron River, Michigan, when she died? I was able to speak to her and her daughter Ruth a few years ago, when we were both working on the McIntosh Family History. Nancy's nephew Weldon Joseph McIntosh contacted me about the research I was doing in the Estill County area. Bonnie Urick told him he should contact me, because we were both working on the McIntosh family research and because I had been doing quite a bit of research in Estill County. Both Weldon and Nancy's two grandsons George Allen and Brian James Kassa were delightful genealogists to work with. We exchanged all the recocrds we both had at the time. They were not secretive about their research, but rather were very willing to share it with everyone. Don't you wish more researchers were like that? Is Weldon still alive? He was about 86 years old, when I got his first telephone call on Wednesday, October 18, 2000. He and George Kassa seemed to be very interested in their McIntosh lines. Weldon sent me a handwritten note dated 11-05-2000, which he enclosed with some family group sheets regarding a Weldon Dale McIntosh who was living in Paletine, Illinois, at the time. Weldon Dale was a descendant of John Og McIntosh. In his handwritten note, Weldon Joseph said, "We can't figure out who my great grandfather John McIntosh's father was." If Weldon is still alive, I will call him and let him know that you have proof that the father was Frank McIntosh. If Weldon is not still alive, I will contact George Allen McIntosh Kassa and give him that same information. Do you mind if I tell them you were the source of this information?
