Abel was in Wilkes Co., NC as a taxpayer in 1793 and married about 1793 in Georgia to a Susannah Thompson. Abel was next found in Greene Co. TN in 1812, and on 1830 census showing age of 70 to 80 (making birth 1750-1760)Abel had two known childrenm Jesse born in Ga about 1790 and later married Jane Smith 12/13/1820 in Greene Co., Tn. Jesse and Jane and their children are found in Knox Co., Ky 1830,40 & 50 census. By 1852 they had traveled to Indiana, and later through Illinois and by boat to Buchanan and Anderson Co. Missouri. by 1855. Abel Mcintoshs daughter Susannah was born around married David Woods of Greene Co., Tn around 1830. A will of Abel Mcintosh was filed 1/27/1838 and both Jesse and Susannah were named in the will. Jesse Mcintosh had a son named William that married Emily Wyatt, daughter of Mary Polly Wyatt of Knox Co. Ky. Mary Polly was an unwed mother and the daughter of Thomas and granddaughter of Sameul and Rebecca Wyatt of Knox Co., Ky and formerly of Greene Co., Tn. Any info about any of the Mcintosh above and in particular Abel would be appreciated. Does anyone have any idea what Bershire VA would be; a county, city, district? All the records that I've found---marriage and death have his birth place as NY. Have him on the 1900, 1910 &1920 census in Minneapolis, Mn. He married Isabel Elizabeth Robidoux in 1880 at Renville Co., Mn. She was known as Mary Elizabeth.They had five Children. My Grandmother being the second. They went their own ways abt. 1900 I think. His Brothers were John b. abt 1845 and Stephen b-abt 1850 all NY. John married Caroline Falkel in Il. in 1871. William's death certificate says their Fathers name was Angus but John's says Father's name unknown. I have tried everything that I can think of to find the parents, with no luck. Constance I found a Fannie McIntosh born in April 1892. Her father was a George McIntosh born on 11 Nov 1867 and her mother was Levisa McIntosh born on 28 February 1872. That is all the information I have on Fannie and her parents. Louise I have a William R. McIntosh born in 1857 but it was in Missouri, not New York. My William's parents were William McIntosh born in 1830 in Tennessee and Wealthy R. born in 1830 in Ohio. Other children for William and Wealthy were Charles M. McIntosh born in 1849 in Iowa, Cora E. McIntosh born in 1855 in Missouri, and Amanda E. McIntosh born in 1860 in Missouri. That is all I have for William and Wealthy and their four children. Perhaps if either of you have access to Ancestry.com you could pursue these names in their search engines, now that we know some parents' and siblings' names with dates and locations of birth.
