As for Mary being 1/2 Cherokee, I doubt it. The McIntosh family that married into the Cherokee were the ones that lived in Georgia. This message board has several posts from Cindy regarding Mary Catherine Moore and her husband William Jonathan McIntosh, Jr. In addition, she can trace her ancestors back to Lachlan McIntosh and his group of 177 persons who settled in Darien Georgia. She is a descendant of Lucinda McIntosh who was one of the four children of William Jonathan McIntosh, Jr. and Sarah Ooley who was William's second wife. Cindy has posted several messages on this same thread you are using. I believe if you read her post to me dated 2 March 2003 @ 11:15 PM you will be able to feast upon much data from this generous woman.
