James joined the 4th and then the 30th OVI and served in the Civil War from 1861 to 1864 but was killed while on a re-enlistment leave [aka vacation], in Columbus Ohio saving the life of a young girl on the rail-road tracks. Also we know nothing of Lavice Wilmont. She died in 1904+- at a home for the "aged". A story abount James is in the site listed with this post. David and Mary McIntire had at least three children: Timothy, b. 1819 d. 1910, Roxanna, b. 1823, d. ?, and unknown daughter. Timothy married Catherine Jane Hill of Claremont, NH in 1841, Roxanna married a man named Hidden. Timothy and Catherine had four children: Betsy Jane, George Henry, Charles Martin and Albert Timothy. Timothy and Catherine lived for a time in Nashua, NH, then moved to Lancaster, MA about 1847 then to Dixfield, ME in 1849. In 1854 they moved to what is now Topeka, KS, in 1858 to Emporia, KS and finally to Arkansas City, KS in 1871 where they lived out the rest of their lives.
