The McIntire/McIntyre line that I am researching begins with an Uzel Barker McIntyre born about 1812 in New York. Uzel married a Martha Wait/Waite and moved to Hinckley, Medina County, Ohio. Had several children. Also seems to have had a brother Marcus McIntyre. I have some information on the descendants of Uzel but nothing about his parents or where his birth occurred etc. If anyone recognizes the names please contact me. My line of McIntire line is short. Starts with: James, b 1820 (either OH or NY) Married Lavice Wilmot (diff spells) in Union County Ohio, but made their home in the next county of Delaware at a small village along the river (Village of Bellpoint). James McIntire joined the 4th Reg Ohio Vol Inf at the start on the Civil War (i his 40's), and joined (re-enlisted) the 30th Reg OVI 3 times before he was killed in Columbus Ohio (1864) saving the life of a young girl on the railroad tracks. Buried at Mill Creek Cemetery near his home. Only a simple stone (military) marks his grave. Below, under my Genealogy site, JUST A VETERAN, you can fine his tree, and those attached via Marriage, etc. My wifes grandfather Jacob McIntire married a WALKE, from a very nobel family (in pass generations), which opened up a whole lot of ".........put Your own word here....", but ir goes backed to 850AD.
