    3. I have had this posted on familytreemaker for three years with virtually no results. I wonder if anyone out there has any ideas. Happy Easter. Jerry We are still researching the McIntire family from Pittsfield, Mass. Particularly, we are looking for descendents and ancestors of George Arthur McIntire, born August 27, 1871 in New Haven, CT. He may have died August 4, 1957 in East Haven or New Haven, CT. He was married to Susan Webster, June 30, 1897 in Pittsfield, MA. Two sons by that marriage were George Webster Mc Intire, born August 11,1898 and Lewis Webster Mc Intire, born July 12, 1900. I have all information on these sons. It is thought that George Arthur was married at least one more time after 1902. It is those descendents I am searching for. I will share any information I have on the family. 3/31/2002(Easter) ps I set up this page in 1999. As of today I have had one response, from one of my daughters .... jh

I assume these are relatives but do not know where they come in as of todays writing (5-15-99). I believe this is Springfield, IL. The properties were narrow and long...rectangular in length. 1. [McIntire] McIntyre Party time!
    2. pMAC
    3. The party is on the main list only: MCINTYRE-L@rootsweb.com ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------ March 17th to March 20th will be our 2nd post-a-thon. In Celebration of Duncan Ban MacIntyre the famous bard and poet of Scotland. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- To make it a little different could we do a roll call with a little survey? I'd like to know what percentage of our members are doing research in U.S.A Scotland Ireland Canada Australia New Zealand Sout Africa Other! Please include this at the top of your post so that I can easily tally up the results. List more than one if you have more, but I'd like the country of your earliest known Mc to be listed first. Mine is Ireland. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------ The Clan McAteer site has some excellent MacAn Tsaoir crested shirts and pullovers on sale. I bought 4 items before Christmas and was very happy with the lot. The Canadian dollar makes it very cheap if you're ordering from other parts of the world. Have a look at the range here. http://www.ncf.carleton.ca/~cd200/mac0.html Please note that the crest is ther Irish version and not the Scottish one. I'm sure though that if there were enough people wanting a Scottish version we may be able to work something out. N.B I don't mind commercial posts on this list provided they are McIntyre/genealogy related. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------- Here is a little piece of Duncan's work. The Misty Corrie of the roving young hinds is the dearest corrie of verdant ground; how lovely, lea-loving, sleek-bright, sappy, was every floweret so fragrant to me; how shaggy, dark-green, fertile, teeming, steep, blooming, full pure, exquisite, mellow, dappled, flowery, bonny, rich in sweet grass, is the glen of arrow grass, and many a fawn. for more check out ElectricScotland.com http://www.electricscotland.com/poetry/macintyre/misty_corrie.htm --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The party is on the main list MCINTYRE-L@rootsweb.com Not the other spelling variations. If you still haven't subscribed to the main list now is a good time to do it. So get those email accounts ready, and post some of your Mc, history, questions, or just say hello. After Wednesday we'll revert back to normal. >From your list administrator. Peter McEntyre (with an E).

    1. [McIntire] McIntire/ McIntyre roll call
    2. I'm searching for the names & dates of the parents of my great great grandmother, Eliza McIntire, who was born in 1813, in Ohio. She married Andrew J. Thompson (He was born in Virginia, in 1813.) in Ohio in 1833. I have a copy of their marriage certificate, so I'm at least sure of > I'd very much like to be able to find locations for > other primary source information about them. With the large families that most folks seem to have had, back then, I feel that surely there must be at least a few genealogists who are trying to research some of Eliza's siblings and parents. I just hope that eventually our paths will cross.
