Apparently he was of SCottish lineage and possible Cherokee Indian as well. The spelling of the name varied greatly sometimes in the same family. All I know about him is that his first wife was Margaret Finley/Findley/ Fenley/ Fendley and they acme to Texas together with John's parents: Zachary Taylor McIntyre and Myrna Crocker McIntyre. I found Myrna in the SC census but Zachary Taylor MCIntyre is a mystery to me. I don't know if John had brothers and sisters of not.I would like to know. I know that one of his sons, John McIntyre from the first marriage was in Widner Ark in 1973. Margaret, John, Zachary and Myrna are all buried in the Ladonia, TX City Cemetery in what is now Delta Co.TX but used to be Fannin County, TX. The historical society there has never heard of them. I enjoy buying lovely old pictures like these in antique shops (with names on the back and photographer’s locations on the front) and locating descendants/family members so that I can re-unite the pictures, for only my costs, with people who will treasure them. This photo was taken (by my estimate) anywhere from 1885 to 1890, and the twins look to be about 8 months old. The photograph was taken by a professional photographer named “Halstead“ in Unionville, MO. Unionville is in Putnam Co. The twins are cute blond baby boys wearing white, in what could be their christening photo. They are seated in an elegant wicker chair, seated on what looks to be possibly a buffalo hide. The picture is an original and is 4-1/4” x 6-½”, mounted on a heavy cardboard frame, as was typical during that time period. It is in excellent condition. George William Gibson married Daisy M. Eliason daughter of Dewey Eliason. She was born in Baltimore, MD and they all lived on Cross St., near Cross St. market. No one can find out when George William Gibson died or where he is buried. Daisy M. Eliason died about 1947 and is buried in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Frederick Rd., Baltimore, MD in a grave belonging to Joseph Cadwalader and her son: Theodore Columbus Gibson's ashes are buried in the same grave with her.

Eliza McIntire was born in 1813 in Springfield, Ohio. She married Andrew J. Thompson (b. 1813) in 1833 in Springfield, Ohio. Family history says that Andrew was in the brick and stone masonry trade with his brothers. Who were his brothers? Who were Eliza's parents and siblings? I keep hoping that someone will see her name and perhaps recognize it as one of the siblings of someone else who's line they are researching. Eliza and Andrew were my gr gr grandparents. We have had this posted on familytreemaker for over three years with virtually no results. Does anyone out there recognize this family? ======================= We are still researching the McIntire family from Pittsfield, Mass. Particularly, we are looking for descendents and ancestors of George Arthur McIntire, born August 27, 1871 in New Haven, CT. He may have died August 4, 1957 in East Haven or New Haven, CT. He was married to Susan Webster, June 30, 1897 in Pittsfield, MA. Two sons by that marriage were George Webster Mc Intire, born August 11,1898 and Lewis Webster Mc Intire, born July 12, 1900. We have all information on these sons. It is thought that George Arthur was married at least one more time after 1902. It is those descendents we are searching for. We will share all information we have on the family.
