Al, First yes we did get a Turkey an Osceola turkey it weighed about 19 lbs (they don't get no bigger than that Al) and had a nice beard and 1 1/2" spurs. I take it by the way the indians were carring on it was a big ole turkey. It was different (I like handling and shooting guns (I have my owns gunssss) I am just not much on shooting animals -that is Joe thing) but I did video the who thing right up to the last 15 mins that I got to playing with my camera and when his gun went off I threw the camera straight up in the air and missed filming it and all I saw was a bunch of turkey butts heading west. Joe was so dissappointed and so was I. I had been staring thru that camera lens for about 6 hrs and missed the last 15 mins. of course them sneaky little turkeys came in on my left side and I wasn't set up good to see that side and that's how I missed it. There were about 15 turkeys came into Joe's firing range. mostly hens a couple of jakes and the big boy Joe shot. He''s having him mounted not full strutt something else. Now he wants to go an get him one of each of the other kinds. Oh yea, what I almost forgot I see that you haven't joined the myfamily site. I sent you an invitation. You can post your pictures there. Its really simple just go into the photos and click on the add pictures. I like the upload express but one thing (i never read directions which makes life difficult sometimes) you have to download it first and then reboot your computer and then when you go back to myfamily you open it off your desktop ......its great espically if you just want to scan to myfamily and not save the photos into your hard drive. and it quicker. The mail list won't let you post pictures to it or any kind of an attachment. But the myfamily site will take them then everyone can share in them. I would love to see them and if you haven't been to the myfamily site there are other McGlauhon's of all sorts. Some of you that have pictures you haven't put up in there you should so we can all see them. I love old pictures. I have this thing about them Joe says. (and dead folks) I do I don't deny it. I am sorry if yall had mail rejected from me yesterday I had one of those 24 hrs throw up viruses. ugh it was awful but i jump back quickly I hate being sick. I think Joe has it now. he had to go home and go to bed. I appreciate you appreciating my goins on. I just try to keep us all inspired to hunt. I was thinking. I am always (every once in awhile I mean) looking at the other spellings the one that don't seem to think we're any kin to them......espically the lachlan names. and they just don't go back too far not as far as we do in America i mean. they usually are around the 1800's coming over. but I though why not figure out what area they were coming from the lachlans and check those area. I have been checking family tree cd I have some from buying the family tree program and I looked at them some sunday afternoon and I have wrote a few names down and I will post them when I check a few more. Just seems we need to go around to another door and come in from another direction and see what we can see. Rhode Island ( I don't know much about this one and their site is not that good) Virginia Maryland somewhere there has to be something we are missing..............what do yall think? Vicki Subj: Re: Pictures Date: 04/03/2001 2:32:57 PM Eastern Daylight Time From: texaswalkers@worldnet.att.net (Al Walker) To: CATAULAVIC@aol.com Hi Vic, I have been reviewing some of this old activity, and noticed that the pictures were rejected by the network... I've attached the message. Anyway, they were pics taken in Ohio of Raymond and Charlie Mcglaun just before Raymond's wedding. They sure did cleaned up well. Anyway, I'll be happy to resend if you think they will go through. BTW, any luck with the turkey hunt? We are going bow hunting this weekend for boar and turkey. The freezer is getting a little low, hopefully we can restock it. We really enjoy your broadcast messages.
