    3. Hello.... Here's what I have on some of what Sarah was pondering on.... William McGlauhon, born 1740 possibly in Scotland, died 3/1/1826, Bertie Co., NC married first Nancy Kapott about 1760, married second Ann Gaskins 1/11/1780, Bertie Co., NC. William McGlauhon and Nancy Kapott's son was Jeremiah, born 1768, Bertie Co., NC (see next paragraph) Jeremiah McGlauhon, born 1768, Bertie Co., NC, died possibly in GA married first Elizabeth Capehart on 4/23/1803, Bertie Co., NC, married second Nancy Baker on 1/26/1805, Bertie Co., NC so..............NO.....Nancy Kapott could not have been a combination of Elizabeth Capehart and Nancy Baker as far as I can tell. Nancy Kapott was one generation ahead of Elizabeth Capehart and Nancy Baker. If you know something different to prove otherwise, I'd love to hear about it! I so far I have no concrete proof of Nancy Kapott other than Julia Price's letter. The other three marriages are documented. Jeremiah who married Nancy Barker in Bertie Co. Jeremiah who married Elizabeth Capehart in Bertie Co. (was this the same Jeremiah? Could the Nancy Kapott be a combination of NANCY Barker and Elizabeth CAPEHART? Jeremiah who crossed Georgia at the same time as Hardy must have been son of William.. In William's will he mentions his children and what they got, of Jeremiah he said "to my son Jeremiah...one Negro red Boy Jess which..he carried away with him..." Interesting. Can anyone tie these people to the right line? Sarah ============================== Search more than 150 million free records at RootsWeb! http://searches.rootsweb.com/
