Hello Jewelle, Yes, it sure does ring a few bells!! This is also the Holloman/McGlohon connection that I believe to be in my family line ( the reason I am subbed to the McGlauhon List!). I believe that Samuel (d in 1760's) and Martha McGlohon HOLLYMAN were likely the grandparents of my ancestor, Wm Holloman, b ca 1775 in Hertford/Bertie..but I have no proof. Hertford Co. records were mostly burned..but some very knowledgeable Holloman researchers have said that that is their best guess...from analyzing land records, etc. Also, Martha's sister, Jane McGlohon, married Christopher Hollyman..so that is also a possibility. William Holloman and his wife, Nancy BAKER Holloman's first son was Samuel Holloman b 1803 in Hertford. Wm's father, (don't have given name) was married to the dau of Charles King of Bertie..she was either Jerusha/Jemima King as stated in an estate settlement that Wm rec'd a share of along with his sister, Judith Holloman Jernigan.
