    3. Dear Kathy, Could be, but I don't feel that they could be the same person as suggested. They could be two seperate Capeharts. They are a generation apart. I guess that we would only know if someone could find the marriage records possibly for the Nancy Kapott/William McGlauhon marriage (or Nancy Capehart if it is spelled that way) or the birth information of Jeremiah (son of Nancy Kapott and William McGlauhon). It could be very possible that he might have married a cousin. Anything is possible until "proven" otherwise. I know that there is mis-information out there on the Nancy Baker/Nancy Parker item marriage also. It is Nancy Baker for sure....I have a copy of the actual handwritten marriage bond. I am also interested to hear also about any other Kapott's that you have found....seeing as you say someone suggested that they were possibly the same. 3. Hello.... Here's what I have on some of what Sarah was pondering on.... William McGlauhon, born 1740 possibly in Scotland, died 3/1/1826, Bertie Co., NC married first Nancy Kapott about 1760, married second Ann Gaskins 1/11/1780, Bertie Co., NC. William McGlauhon and Nancy Kapott's son was Jeremiah, born 1768, Bertie Co., NC (see next paragraph) Jeremiah McGlauhon, born 1768, Bertie Co., NC, died possibly in GA married first Elizabeth Capehart on 4/23/1803, Bertie Co., NC, married second Nancy Baker on 1/26/1805, Bertie Co., NC so..............NO.....Nancy Kapott could not have been a combination of Elizabeth Capehart and Nancy Baker as far as I can tell. Nancy Kapott was one generation ahead of Elizabeth Capehart and Nancy Baker. If you know something different to prove otherwise, I'd love to hear about it! I so far I have no concrete proof of Nancy Kapott other than Julia Price's letter. The other three marriages are documented. Sandy, Michigan ================================ The above is in reply to this previous message posted to the mailing list...... 2. I am leaving, in the morning, for Alabama with a stop in Troup County, GA. I'm going to try to get as much information as I can on the Alabama McGlawn's. If anyone one would like me to look up anything for them, I will do my best to find it for them. I am not going to have a whole lot of time but I hope to get clues to Jeremiah and just exactly who his family members were. I will be going to Chambers and Tallapoosa Counties as well. If Jeremiah was on a tax list in 1855, would'nt that mean he owned land or am I mistaken in believing that only land owners were on tax lists. If Jeremiah did own land, then there may be a probate record somewhere. Glenda

It appears that the person furnishing this info is or was in Texas.  If you can give me something concrete to work on, I will try to run them down.  You know Texas ain"ft that BIG1 There is someone named Eulalaw mentioned in one of the notes.  I recently spoke with a lady who was named after a Eulalaw.  Now if I can just figure out who it was.  I think she lives in the Dallas area.
