Kenneth and Keith were my "Buddys" when I was in the first and second grade in Angleton. Joe and Estelle, my Daddy and Mother, Ray and Mary Lee would visit all the time. Here is a short short on your family tree. I think you said Keith.?? Joe Henry McFarland and Estelle Goodman had 2 sons that I am aware of, Kenneth and Keith Joe H. was the son of Fred Winfield McFarland b. and Maggie Moore. Aunt Maggie was the sister of my step grandmother, Emma Moore married to Frank McFarland after his first wife Ettie died in 1919 Fred Winfield McFarland b. 5/31/1878 Cerro Gordo Co., Iowa died 4/6/1949 Flint, Smith Co., buried Flint Cemetery. (back part) Married Maggie Moore b. 9/4/1890 Flint, Smith Co., Texas died 4/11/1982 Smith Co., TX buried Flint Cemetery Fred was the son of Alexander Miller McFarland and Susanna Caroline Wood (her families can be traced back to the 1500's) Alexander Miller was born 5/6/1839 Fentress Co., TN died 1/19/1901 Flint, Smith Co., TX buried in Flint Cemetery. His head stone is a tall Woodsman of the World headstone and only marked A M McFarland with the name of his Civil War company on it. Susanna Caroline Wood was born 12/15 1843 ( I was born 102 years and 30 days after she was [12/14/1946]) She died 10/19/1919. I don't know of old age or of the Swine Flu empidimic that killed more than 1/2 of Smith County residence in 1918-1919 season, she is also buried at the Cemetery with only S C McFARLAND on it I have a GEDCOM file that I will send to you if you would like. There are still some McFarland's in the Flint area. My uncle William B. McFarland and a second cousin (?) Howard also my fathers sisters Gracie and Ruth are still living. They are in their late 80's and early 90's now. I live in Florida now, but the next time I manage a trip to Texas I have to make sure that I visit the Cememtery again and make records of the newer headstones. They are growing and growing.. I know that some of the family are not being buried there anymore and would like to know where they are. Susie McFarland Lemin Your cousin
