I have a Robert that I don't have information on. His son was Duncan born abt. 1700 Virginia ?? married to Elizabeth Ann Porter. They died in Virginian, Elizabeth in Bath Co. and buried at George Creek Cem. in Bath Co., Va. In 1773 the Duncan McFarland had to leave home and hide in a cave on the east side of the Jackson river during a indian raid and lost everything, from fire and looting. The indians got so bad they sold their land to Jacob Cleek and moved north Carolina that is now part of Tenn. Duncan was a weaver by trade. Their children were: WILLIAM MCFARLAND (supposedly my ancestor, and all arrows point to him) born 1735 Jean Ann (Ann) Mcfarland Abt. 1721 married Alexander Dunlap Robert McFarland Abt. 1725 married Mary ?? Alexander Mcfarland Abt. 1730 married Mary Crawford There may have been more children I haven't heard of also.
