Birth Records I discovered the following concerning Duncan McFarland McFarland Inf Daughter 24 Jun 1853 Duncan / Jane Bryan Thinking this through, we know that Duncan died of the "fever" in Ocober of 1853, a few months after this birth. At that time, he was listed as a widower, meaning his wife may have died with the birth of this unnamed daughter. If John was their son, he would have been about six years old and may have been adopted by the Eatons. Just theory. Hope you're having some luck.
