Anyway, I'm here now and helping my 8 year old son with a geneaology project. My Mamaw (Cleo) died before I was born, and Papaw (Ed) died when I was 10. As a result, I don't know much about the family's history. I can go back as far as my Daddy's grandmother (Laura Virginia Ely), and I do remember Daddy talking about "Aint Ruth" (lol). I don't know a whole lot more, except that the Elys have a town named for them. What else do you know, and can I help you with anything else?
