Demas was born April 7, 1791 in Washington county, Penn. He married Nancy Feb 11, 1813 in Green County Penn. He died Sep 23, 1869 in Indianapolis of heart failure and is buried in the Crown Hill Cemetary in North Indianapolis. I believe his father's name was also Abel and I have a note that he was named after his mother's father. My paternal grandmother did genealogy all her life and I am just taking this info. from a family tree I filled out based on her research. I don't have anything further back then this individual - just forward. Hope this helps a bit.
