In the 1860 Knox Co census, Barnabas is listed on page 0011. A few properties away on page 0010 is a Mary McFarland age 72 b)VA. (maybe his mother) Also in the household is a Haly(sic) (The handwriting of this census taker is terrible so I am guessing on the name spelling) age 40. Also listed is a Preston, age 4(b 1856). At another site, there is a Barney Preston b)1856 listed as the son of Barney McFarland.
