Our Daniel was born 1729 not 1731 and according to the research of Bennet Jenks he was born and married in the old country. This other Daniel (the Colonel) was born 1731 in Worcester, yes? Our Daniel died in 1786, quite different from the Colonel who died 1817 in PA. Although we have no records of where our Daniel died, he had moved to North Adams, Berkshire county from Worcester about 1767. We can only assume that he died in this locale. Also, our Daniel's children are very different from the other's. Ours are listed as Daniel Jr. (marriage to Avis Reynolds), Duncan ( a cripple who never married), Nancy, Lucretia (married a man named Waters), and one other daughter, whose name we do not know, who married a man named Carter. This branch, besides our Daniel Jr's 14 children, we have but one known child and that being the son of Nancy and William Slocum, Lemuel S. Slocum, Born ca. 1811 in Adams Twp, Berkshire, Ma. Of course Jenks' work may be completely erroneous as to this early branch. Very little of it is cited in 'The Clan McFarland' book he put out, but with only a couple of very insignificant errors, it appears quite solid. I intend to go out to Ohio where a Jenks' descendent is in possession of his research.
