Oct. 19, 1919 Flint, Smith Co., TX Alexander Miller was the Son of Wesley McFarland and Elizabeth Adkins: Wesley McFarland born abt 1817 Fentress Co., TN died ?? same Married Elizabeth Adkins 1836 Fentress Co., TN Children: Martha T. Rhoda 1837 James 1838 Alexander M. 1839 William A. Oct. 4, 1840 married Mary Stevens Elizabeth A. 1841 Barbary J. 1843 married J.L. Gregory Nancy 1845 Matthew 1848 Rebecca 1849 married Elisha Bell, both died in Flint, Smith Co. TX Eliza H. 1852 Robert A. 1859 (this one I am not positive about) Wesley was the son of JAMES C. MCFARLAND. This is the one with so many wives that it has confused the issue in the family trees LOL. JAMES C. MCFARLAND b Augusta Co., VA died Clinton Co., KY was married 3-4 times. I have listed here Barbara Young Pricillia Mullinix Prichard: She had children that took the McFarland name. And the confusing of all is the sisters or cousins: Elizabeth/Caroline/Rebecca RULE When you put all the children's birthdates in order and the wives dates together they still over lap. So the step-children are in the census listed as his children also. JAMES C. MCFARLAND HAD THESE CHILDREN: Mother(s) Rebecca married 1804 and or Elizabeth Rule Samuel -- Narcissa ?? Hester McFarland Matthew McFarland April, 24, 1848 date looks mighty suspicious to me.. but knowing my McFarland men, not immpossible. This type of thing has happened more than once in my line.
