The answer lies in what I have just begun to do. Her son for some reason put all her work in box's and gave it to the archives in Nashville. It is on Microfilm as The Mable Harvey Thornton Collection. Microfilm 1040 12 Reels 35 Boxes. It is available on InterLibrary Loan from The TN State Library and Archives. I have been copying pages at a time in Roane County but it has been slow work for me. I am putting it on my pc but have not learned how to upload or download( what ever) it for you. As you can see I have only been doing this a year. I am putting it on My Family at Ancestry.com I already have almost 1600 people in the file. I have only scratched the top. If I could learn how to put my work where you could read it it would be wonderful. I am using a microfilm printer but it is still very hard to read. Do you know how many pages are on one reel? It takes me one whole day . I can only work on it sometime. If you cou! ld borrow the tapes at the library it would tell you all of it. The Roane County Herritage Commission bought a copy of the tapes. That is where I do the work in the Old Roane County Court House. It is nice to hear from someone who knew my sister. Betty Reed
