Surnames: McFarland, Vitale Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/FG0.2ACIB/1112 Message Board Post: Jack and Joe Vitale (ages 9 & 11) worked on the Fritz farm and on the way back to town stopped at the McFarlands, Jack got sick with measles and stayed while Joe went back home. William & Laura McFarland took care of Jack until he was well. They then took him to the Red Cross, and since Jack had no family that wanted him the McFarlands were told they could keep him, this is when he became a McFarland. The McFarlands had 2 other sons, one named George who married Jean, the second one's name is not known. ANY help with this line would be so greatly appreciated.
