Can you tell me who Robert Emmett's parents were? I have some McFarlands that I don't have any information on where they moved to or where they died. My great grandfather was Alexander Miller McFarland born 1839 in Fentress County, Tenn. Third of twelve (12) children , all born in Tenn. but scattered when the Civil War became evident. They went to Wisconsin, Iowa, Kentucky, maybe Illinois, Arkansas and Texas. Alexander's wife was Susannah Caroline Wood and her family also moved to these states. My Father, Ray E. McFarland, always said that "Spanky" was a cousin, but never said who his parents were or how they were related. Ray was born 1909 in Smith County, Texas and is buried next to his father, Frank, and close to Alex at the Flint Cemetery, Flint, Smith County, Texas. Susie
