Hazel, who raised George William, was born in Kentucky. He had a daugter Mary, listed on the 1860 census as born in Tennessee. Billie was listed as Hazel on the 1870 & 1880 census'. His widow Mollie was listed as McFarland on the 1900 census. When the family sold property in the mid 1930's they had to sign the abstracts both Hazel and McFarland. I have no information on Billie's parents other than him listed as born in Alabama on the census'.

My McFarland ancestors originated in Omagh, Co Tyrone. Robert McFarland (my GG-Grandfather) married Isabella Brown around the late 1870's. Isabella Brown was adopted, so we're not sure if that was her real name or not. They had 8 children: Annie; Elizabeth (my G Grandmother who married John (Jack) Sim Porter); Margaret; Johnny; Fanny (who later became known as Frances); Isabella; Robert and Rebecca (known as Ruby). Most of the McFarlands left Ireland for Scotland, settling in Glasgow, around the turn of the century - but I think Robert and Isabella remained in Ireland. If you have any information regarding any of the above it would be appreciated. Many thanks, Barbara

The following is what every little I know: My g-g-grandmother was Nancy Jane McFarland (born 1849 in Ky). She married a William "Will" Henry Robbins (born about 1847 in Johnson County, IN). >From limited info I have, it is possible that Nancy Jane had a sister by the name of Martha E.
