    3. Since first posting to McElroy-L a week and a half ago, I have learned more about William Thomas McElroy, thanks to very kind help from others. But there is still a lot more to learn. William T. was born 2/10/1843, died 10/21/1930. He married Sue Davison Calhoun [Calhoon], who was born 1/11/1844, died 1/28/1922 -- her parents were James P. Calhoun [12/5/1800-9/6/1875] and Eleanor Davison [10/24/1801-2/3/1894]. All of them were buried in Springfield. The McElroy pedigree seems thoroughly documented back to arrival in the US in 1729. However, I'm still looking for anecdotal information about the everyday lives of the McElroys. And, most importantly, I really need help with the CALHOUNs and DAVISONs, whom I can trace back with certainty only as far as the ancestors listed above. Any additional information or leads would be most helpful. Also, I am beginning to plan a research trip to Springfield in early June -- only my second visit there, the most important one coming back in 1952 when I was 13. Any recommendations for Bed & Breakfast accommodations would be appreciated. Thomas Bethel Colvin [grandson of Mary Claybrooke McElroy, daughter of William T. McElroy]
