My McLeroy's were in East Texas from 1900. I found them first in 1900 Hill Co. census after that they were in Upshur Co. Cass Co., Red River Co., Tex and Little River Co., Ark (1920) Found him as M.L.;M.C.; Mack-McLeroy McElroy McIlroy. born 1850 Ga. died early 1930's Ga. He had gone back to Ga. after his 2nd wife died in 1927, Cass Co, Tx. 2nd wife Martha E. Johnson b. 1861 Ala died 1927 Cass Co., Tx. children; Eunice ; Lois; Paul; Ziposa; Enoch; Noah; Moses1895; Lydia1897; Aaron 1900and James 1905 Haven't found him in any census from 1850. Annette
