Ruth is the daughter of Andrew Haslett [who was born 22 December 1756 in near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and died Bet. 07 April - 27 May 1834 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He migrated to Mifflin County, PA and served in the Rev. War from there, by 1800 he bought land in Westmoreland Co. He may have been the son of Andrew Haslett who was killed in an Indian Raid called the 'Stenton Massacre' on Oct. 8 1763 in Northampton Co., PA.] and Ruth Adams. [Ruth was born Abt. 1761, and died 08 May 1819 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. she is the possible daughter of William and Rebecca Adams who was in Chester and Mifflin Co., PA.] James bought land from Andrew in 1834 in Westmoreland Co., PA. He was also the census taker in Westmoreland Co. I am willing to share information.
