    3. Waneta, Sorry, I have a John and Andrew Jackson who lived in Miss back in the late 1700's and early 1800's. I have a relative who might have additional information since he does a lot of genealogy in the Miss area. O.D. McElroy-mcelroy [[email protected]] I can't promise that he will have anything you can use, but he seems like he would be happy to assist you. Good Luck, Tell him the Tom McElroy said Hi! Ms Buried Lauderdale Co., Ms. --------------- Does anyone know who these men are? I am especially curious about Ransom. My great grandfather, Zacheus S. McElroy [Muckleroy, etc.] was murdered by one Christopher L. Davis in 1845 & along with the then Governor of Mississippi, a R. McElroy joined in to offer a $250.00 reward. They were living in Lauderdale at the time of the murder [it is assumed that Zacheus was]. And many moons ago, I found a Ransom L. McElroy registered with the Cherokee Indians. I have to re-locate that source for I was a beginner and possibly failed to note the source apparently. Has anyone else ever come across this information? As I recall it was in some Mississippi tax records. Waneta McElroy Arner <[email protected]> ==== MCELROY Mailing List ==== I shook my family tree, a bunch of nuts fell out.
